KIM LOGAN & THE SILHOUETTES

“Shadow Work” is the second LP from Kim Logan, the first made with her Parisian band The Silhouettes. After establishing herself as one of the members of the small but intense rock + roll scene that thrived amidst the “Americana” boom, Kim wrote + recorded her debut self-titled album, 2 singles, + 2 EPs over the course of her seven years in the rich East Nashville music community.
After touring the US from coast to coast, she headed overseas to start a heavier, darker era with the Silhouettes in 2018. A trained opera singer, Kim began working at age 9 with the Sarasota Opera Company, until she moved to Boston to attend the Berklee College of Music.
Her debut self-titled album was recorded in Nashville, and released on her own label Swamp Thing Records while she worked as a contracted soprano with the Nashville Opera. After having collaborated with producer/engineer magick-makers like Vance Powell (White Stripes, Dead Weather, Arctic Monkeys), Brett Orrison (The Black Angels), + various members of Jack White’s Third Man Records community like Dominic Davis + Margo Price on projects in Nashville + Austin, Kim returned to Vance’s dojo of Sputnik Sound in Nashville to have “Shadow Work” mixed by Mike Fahey (Raconteurs, Seasick Steve), with mastering at Infrasonic Sound by Dan Bacigalupi (Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton). After 2 years of non-stop touring + recording with the Silhouettes in the UK, France, Belgium, + Germany, Kim is hiding out writing LP3.
