Politically-outspoken Irish avant garde punk producer MERYL STREEK has released his debut album ‘796’ via Gallows’ owned Venn Records (High Vis, Bob Vylan, Witch Fever). The debut album 796 is an emotionally volatile and heart-wrenching collection of cutting edge punk that pushes genre boundaries whilst traversing extremely challenging political subject matter with aplomb and vitriol. Never let the system win and always stretch the boundaries of what punk is or should be, and after you’ve done all this, then make some music that encompasses all this, that’s what Meryl Streek has just gone and done, and with no f*** given as to who he needs to call out. TORTURE AND THE DESERT SPIDERS

Torture and the Desert Spiders is a left-field garage project based around the songwriting of New Jersey raised artist, Anna Kunz. Although the lineup takes many forms, her collaborators, Clara Cicely and Max Meunier, help transform the records into scathing live performances which have got them slots performing alongside bands such as Crawlers, The Lounge Society, and Gaye Bykers on Acid.
Recently they’ve been spun on KEXP’s Sonic Reducer, BBC Introducing (Dave Monks), KGNU Denver, WDNF Philadelphia, WBAI Brooklyn, Stonybrook University FM, KCC Live, Alternative Tracks, On the Radar, been covered in Polyesterzine, Urbanista, Indie Midlands, Popped Music, as well as played festivals such as Sound City (Tim Peaks Stage), Brighton Fête (TGE), Beyond the Walls, All Roads Lead to the Future and Smithdown Road. https://tortureandthedesertspiders.bandcamp.com/
