Bienvenue à la Block Party !

On pousse les murs du Supersonic jusqu’au bord de la Seine pour une balade entre la rue Biscornet et le port de l’Arsenal, entre post-punk, psyché solaire, pop rêveuse et indie rock turbulent... Le Supersonic va transformer les rues qui l’entourent en festival à l’anglo-saxonne, dans un esprit proche de ceux du SXSW à Austin ou du Great Escape à Brighton.

Trois jours du mois de mai à naviguer entre quatre lieux, pour découvrir les groupes cultes de demain, les formations coups de coeur de l’équipe du lieu et les fleurons d’une nouvelle scène rock flamboyante venus du monde entier ! Supersonic’s Block Party s’annonce comme un rendez-vous incontournable autant pour les nerds de musique que pour tous.tes les curieux.ses !

Specialising in discordant, hypnotic repetition, tales of boozy nights out, and radical politics, Loose Articles are a punk quartet with plenty to say. Their music speaks to all those determined to get through the age of austerity with tongue in cheek, pint in hand, and two feet firmly on the dancefloor. Plying repetition (repetition, repetition…) with ragged edges and a sardonic, sarcastic drawl delivered with fierce, in your face, punk-fueled attitude, both feminine & threatening, Loose Articles are here to make a point.

Girl Scout (21h50)
(Indie pop - Stockholm, SWE)

It's a tale as old as time: four young people meet while studying. In this tale our protagonists are Swedish and became acquainted at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm not too long ago. They studied Jazz, they played together. First two of our friends "formed a duo in an attempt to earn money, playing mostly evergreens and covering anything from the Beatles to Burt Bacharach at cocktail events and openings", but soon enough, after they started performing original songs, their enthusiasm got contagious and they became a four piece.
