Les Balkun Brothers sont un dynamique duo de rockeurs originaires de Hartford dans le Connecticut.
Formés par deux frères, Nick et Steve Balkun, le duo à été decrit par le site TheDay.com comme “Spectaculaire porte étendard pour le blues et le rock'n roll. Le groupe apporte une personnalité brute, soul et énergique ainsi qu'un son frais pour le blues et le rock'n roll” Le Hartford Courant a aussi caractérisé leur musique par « Blues Rock

Mêlant heavy rock et groove funk avec les styles traditionnels de blues delta et électrique, Balkun Brothers ont fabriqués leurs propre son ainsi que leur propre style. Défiant la logique habituelle du duo, Steve et Nick ont créé un mur massif d’énergie sonore qui provient d'un grand nombre d'influences incluant Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath, Johnny Winter, The Doors, Rage Against The Machine, Primus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Motörhead et bien d'autres.
Le groupe en live et en studio d'enregistrement fait une transition tout à fait transparente avec les styles rock, blues, funk, jam, punk, psychédélique et tout se qui peut s'y accorder. Connus pour leurs lives explosifs, les Balkun Brothers ont rapidement évolués en devenant l'un des meilleur duo des U.S.A. et ont rapidement gagnés des admirateurs partout autour du monde avec leur Hard Rock qui en impose.

Après avoir été élu “Meilleur groupe de Blues du Connecticut Music Awards” pour les 4 dernières années à la suite (2013 à 2016), le groupe à de plus récemment été récompensé comme meilleur groupe de Rock de la Nouvelle-Angleterre lors des New England Music Awards.

Les Balkuns Brothers ont partagé la scène avec des artistes tel que Johnny Winter, Joe Bonamassa, Gary Hoey, James Cotton, Gogol Bordello, Devon Allman, Melvin Seals and JGB, Eric Sardinas, Albert Castiglia,The Mike Dillon Band, Dopapod, Vapors of Morphine, Selwyn Birchwood and Chris Duarte.
Ils ont aussi été dans le line up de grand festivals aux cotés des Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, Motley Crüe, Alice Cooper, Slayer, Iggy Pop, Gary Clark Jr. and Elvin Bishop.

Les frères Nick et Steve ont produits indépendamment et ont sortis leur premier album 'ReDrova', qui à été très bien reçu et a atteint la première place aux Roots Music Report Blues-Rock album chart et à été n° 5 aux Roots Music Report overall Blues charts.

Les Balkuns ont signés avec le label DixieFrog Records en 2015 et ont sortis leurs très attendu 'Devil On TV', avec ces derniers en Mai 2017.

Dans leur mission de diffuser le Rock dans tout l'univers, les Balkuns ont fait des tournées partout aux États Unis d'Amérique, d'Est en Ouest. Le groupe a aussi mené à bien 5 tournées européenne depuis 2015 en jouant en Allemagne, Belgique, Luxembourg, Pays-Bas et enfin en France.

Balkun Brothers is an American rock n' roll power-duo hailing from Hartford, CT. After being voted 'Best Blues Band in Connecticut' at the Connecticut Music Awards for the last 4 years in a row (from 2013-2016), the band was most recently awarded 'Best Rock Band in New England' at the 2017 New England Music Awards.

Brothers Nick and Steve, independently produced and released their debut album in 2015 entilted, 'ReDrova', which was well received and rose to #1 on the Roots Music Report Blues-Rock album charts and was #5 on the Roots Music Report overall Blues charts.

Balkun Brothers signed with European label Dixiefrog Records in 2015 and released their much anticipated second album, 'Devil On TV', with Dixiefrog in May of 2017.

On their mission to spread rock n' roll across the universe, the brothers have toured extensively throughout the United States from coast to coast. The band has also completed five European tours since 2015, performing in Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and France.
