MF Robots est né de la complicité entre Jan Kincaid, fondateur, batteur et compositeur des Brand New Heavies, et la chanteuse Dawn Joseph qui intégra les "Heavies" en 2013 après avoir accompagné les plus célèbres artistes, comme Rod Stewart, Phil Collins, Michael Buble, Kylie Minogue, CeeLo Green et Craig David. Très spontanément, ils forment un duo de composition et de production qui les pousse à créer leur propre son aux inspirations nouvelles et plus larges. Nous voulons procurer un peu d'évasion d'esprit et apporter un vent de fraicheur sur la Soul" explique Jan Kincaid, en insufflant une énergie positive et en proposant une musique à la fois très actuelle et capable de traverser les époques.
"Music For Robots" est apparu pour la première fois fin 2017 avec un premier single, 'The Night Is Calling', suivi du groovy et archi funky "Come On With The Good Thing" (les deux morceaux étant issus de leur premier album éponyme sorti courant 2018).
En délivrant ce groove tout frais, MF Robots dont on ne présente plus les deux artistes, fusionne les styles musicaux avec une approche originale et communicative. Un mélange inédit et sexy de hard funk, d'electro, d'acid jazz, de nu soul et de pop.
Sur scène, MF Robots promet de restituer tous ces éléments car cette "Musique Pour Robots" se joue et se partage bel et bien en live ! Bien loin d'un show froid et digital, le groove impeccable de Jan à la batterie et la voix irresistible de Dawn sont complétés par un line up 6 étoiles : Alex Montaque aux claviers, Nathaniel Adamson à la basse, Mark Beaney à la guitare, Benjamin Treacher au saxophone, Graeme Flowers à la trompette et Senab Adekunle aux choeurs que l'on a déjà entendu auprès d'Adele.
