Mais, what is Grit, exactement ? Un trait de personnalité à cultiver, une qualité personnelle. To show some grit, comme le disent nos voisins anglosaxons, c’est montrer de la persévérance, faire preuve de détermination, être poussé vers ses objectifs par une puissante motivation. « Grit », ou le mélange de passion, d’investissement, et de capacité à travailler. Rien d‘étonnant, donc : les quatre membres du groupe sont des acharnés de travail, des fous de rythme et des musiciens tenaces. Et parce qu’ils préfèrent ouvrir les portes que les claquer, ils ont choisi un rock aux contours parfois abrupts, mais qui aime traîner ses semelles dans le sable, et y dessiner des contours aussi poétiques que féroces.

«COLD CANYON was formed in 2018 by childhood friends guitarist Maxime Creton and drummer Loïck Eberlin. Following the ethic that a band has to be more than just four guys jamming together, but a true family, the band is composed of true friends. Quentin Rilhac (vocals), Maxime Creton (guitars and vocals), Nicolas Quenan (bass) and Loïck Eberlin (drums) all met along the years they spent living the life of the french scene together allowing the four passionate men to consider building this band from the ground up.»
