Inspired by Brooklyn based bands such as Grizzly Bear and The National, YOSSARIAN blend post-rock sensibilities with a quixotic sentiment to create a sky-scraping epic sound laden with accelerating electric guitar atmospherics and orchestral layers. Their lyrics are dark, melancholic and ambiguous, and drift between themes of meaningless mortality and universal human dreams and nightmares. The vocals are dealt out starkly over an ever changing landscape that shifts between ethereal soundscapes resembling the musical love child of Arcade Fire and Pink Floyd.
