James D.Bryan est un artiste originaire de l'Ouest Canadien.
Songwriter prolifique, il collaboré dans de nombreux projets
et publié plus d'une centaine de titres avec James & The North Shore, The Stoop, Hazelton, The Mommajacks, Shmo Magestica, Gaudy Birds, Janina & James, The Mackies....

Sa prose poétique et son timbre de voix font penser à David Berman (Silver Jews) Leonard Cohen, Howe Gelb (Giant Sand) et Bill Callahan (Smog) Jason Molina (Magnolia Electric Co.), Lou Reed et Wilco.

His music has been featured on CBC Radio 1, CBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 6, MX3 Swiss, RTE Ireland, and college radio stations across North America. He currently tours Canada and Europe as a solo acoustic alt-folk/rock act and with his “Sub-Celtic peasant rock band” James & The North Shore.
